Vaccination and Mask Policy for CreativePro Week 2022
NOTE: As Covid cases have fallen significantly around the country, and mask mandates are being lifted, we have paused the policy below. Vaccines will not be required at CreativePro Week 2022. However, we reserve the right to change this policy at any time based on updates from the CDC and changing health conditions.
As we look forward to our first in-person event since 2019, we’re prioritizing the health and safety of everyone who attends. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date on our COVID-19 guidelines and policies for CreativePro Week 2022.
Note that CreativePro Week will be held live — both in-person and online. The information below only applies to people attending in-person, of course.
Your health and safety are our priority.
We can’t wait to see you in person again in May—and we want you to feel completely confident about your decision to join us.
We’re carefully tracking all the latest health and safety guidance for large group gatherings from the CDC and the Virginia Department of Health, and we plan to implement all guidelines as requirements for the five-day event.
We’re also partnering with our venue, the Crystal Gateway Marriott, to ensure that CreativePro Week 2022 is held in a safe and clean environment. See the Marriott COVID-19 policies and standards.
Here’s what will be required of participants.
Be vaccinated: All CreativePro Week attendees, staff, sponsors, and presenters must be vaccinated. (See below for vaccination requirements.)Wear a mask: A face mask that completely covers your mouse and nose must also be worn in indoor public areas, including inside the conference foyer and ballroom areas, except while actively eating or drinking, or presenting on stage.
Should recommendations change closer to the event, we will update our mandates accordingly. Check back here for the latest.
What to expect at the event.
We’re also taking additional steps to ensure you’re safe and comfortable, so you can enjoy CreativePro Week to the very fullest:
- Masks and hand sanitizer will be available on-site
- Careful considerations for your health and safety as we serve meals and snacks
- Event design measures to ensure your personal boundaries are respected
What if large gatherings are prohibited in May 2022?
If we’re not able to safely host CreativePro Week in Washington DC during our scheduled dates, we’ll once again pivot to an online-only event. At that time, everyone already registered would have the option of converting to an online ticket or canceling their registration.
What does “Vaccinated” mean?
All attendees must present a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and be vaccinated. “Vaccinated” means the date of first arriving at the conference is at least 14 days after your second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine OR at least 14 days after your single dose of an approved single dose COVID-19 vaccine. (See this link for a list of WHO-approved vaccines.)
Guests may display proof of vaccination on a smartphone or present a physical copy.
Additionally, CreativePro strongly encourages all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff members to obtain vaccine booster doses in compliance with the latest United States Centers for Disease Control guidance.
