Wednesday, 8:00 am – 9:00 am Pacific

We are often asked to design presentations or pages based on a pile of data, numbers, or statistics. But just because your boss or client hands you a spreadsheet doesn’t mean you have to turn it into a chart or graph! Learn how to build unique and informative visuals to tell a story, highlight what’s important, and help your audience understand what’s really going on.

In Part 1 of this two-part tutorial, we’ll cover:

  • When an infographic is a good idea (and when it’s not!)
  • Discovering the wide spectrum of data design
  • Making great-looking charts and graphs in PowerPoint… fast!
  • How to link charts to Excel to keep them editable for those inevitable changes
  • Fundamentals of design, as it relates to data
