Join us in this session information-pack session, where we’ll explore modern workflows and new features in Photoshop that will help increase your productivity when designing for multiple design states and screen sizes. Then, we’ll take our Photoshop file directly into Adobe XD, where we can turn our design into a fully-functioning interactive prototype — without writing a single line of code!

Chris and Jesús will demonstrate collaborating between Photoshop and XD via CC Libraries, and they’ll even make edits in the same XD document at the same time!

Infographics and Illustrator

Monday, 10:30 am – 11:30 am Central

We create infographics to tell stories; that story may be how many products have been sold over time, how well a particular aspect of your business is performing, or how a particular item or situation has developed. Creating infographics is one of the biggest asks for designers these days, and Illustrator is the perfect tool for the job in many respects—but you need to have a wide range of skills at your disposal.

In this session we’ll be taking a look at the approaches used in a timeline infographic and some techniques that will help you wrangle the chart tools in Illustrator. Using an account of a real-world case and the Illustrator tools, you’ll learn:

  • Planning to tell a story
  • Dealing with irregular scales
  • Creating a chart where no usable chart type exists
  • Use the chart tools in Illustrator to create non-standard charts without losing the connection to the data
