Infographics and Illustrator
Monday, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Probably the biggest ask of designers in publishing these days is to create infographics, and although that’s a big term applied to many kinds of illustration, these days in normally involves lots of charts, diagrams and maps. To be successful and efficient (or just calm, and less-hassled) means developing good drawing methodologies and getting down with the data—the area that many designers dread. Join Tony Harmer—three consecutive years sell-out instructor at Adobe MAX on the topic of infographics—and pick up a ton of tips and tricks that you can use to make great graphics for the presentation of information:
- Develop tighter Illustrator skills to make dynamic graphics
- Create nonstandard chart types in Illustrator without losing the connection to the data
- Better understand how to examine and make sense of data
- Put Google Sheets (and sometimes Excel) to work for you
- Go beyond the Illustrator chart types
- Make simple charts in InDesign, dynamically—with a font
and more!
Come along, learn a lot and have a chuckle (Tony is notoriously naughty) in this fast-paced, information-rich session
