Jole Simmons

Jole Simmons is a seasoned presentation designer, LinkedIn Learning author and podcast host living in the Bay Area. Nicknamed “The Presentation Guy” by some of his early clients, he adopted that as the name of his design company and has never looked back. Jole is originally from Maryland and saw the need for presentation designers in Silicon Valley, so he moved to San Francisco to work on presentations for large companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, YouTube, Gap, and Workday. He’s now a LinkedIn Learning author with several classes under his belt, and recently started a podcast “Presentation Junkies” with his good friend Lisa Marie Grillos. He currently lives in Daly City, CA and has an amazing 11-year-old daughter named Mia.

Jessica Bellamy

Motion Infographic designer Jessica Bellamy, of Louisville Kentucky, tells visual stories using data and personal narratives. As a Design Justice advocate, Jessica started her design career working with nonprofits and community groups to create compelling explainers that break down complex service and policy information. In 2017, she created a hands-on workshop called Infographics for Social Change: A Graphic Ally Hackathon. Since then, she has given Graphic Ally Hackathons at several conferences and at three major universities (Carnegie Mellon, UCLA, and Yale). The hackathon focuses on teaching creatives how to make information graphics in partnership with nonprofits.     Gene Gable

    Gene Gable has spent a lifetime in the publishing business with a special fondness for the technology of production. He is formerly President of Publish magazine, President of Seybold Seminars and Publications, Publisher of Sporting Times magazine and, during the pre-PostScript era ran a full-service typesetting and design shop in Monterey, California. Gene currently works in venture capital and continues to contribute to various publications. For ten years he wrote the columns Heavy Metal Madness and Scanning Around With Gene for Creativepro.com where he regularly looked back on past design and production successes and failures. In his spare time Gene is an avid dog owner and collector of historical diving equipment and publishing ephemera.

      Ron Bilodeau

      Ron Bilodeau

      Ron Bilodeau is the Production & Design Specialist for O’Reilly Media, Inc. He is using InDesign to develop seamless workflows for easily exporting print- and web-ready PDFs, as well as ePub and Mobi digital book formats, from the same source files. In addition to his InDesign work, Ron is also working with the O’Reilly Atlas team where he is developing custom stylesheets for its mostly-automated digital publishing platform.

      Trish Witkowski

      Trish Witkowski is president of Foldfactory.com, curator of the world’s most exciting collection of folded print and direct mail samples, and host of “60-second Super-cool Fold of the Week” on YouTube—a series that has surpassed 580 episodes. She frequently speaks to designers, marketers, and graphic arts industry organizations to illustrate the power of print + digital marketing. Trish is also an instructor for LinkedIn Learning and MarketWise Academy, a blogger, and the author of several books on print marketing and direct mail strategy.

      Sandee Cohen

      After 20 years in advertising, Sandee Cohen began teaching computer graphics and layout. In 1999 she was approached by Adobe Systems to beta test K-2 which was released as Adobe InDesign. From there she wrote the first InDesign Visual Quickstart Guide.

      In addition to authoring the InDesign VQS, she has written Creating Animations with Adobe InDesign CC, and is the co-author, with Diane Burns, of Digital Publishing with InDesign CC. She has also created a course for Lynda.com on the three Adobe Spark programs.

        Bart is a trainer, worldwide public speaker, LinkedIn Learning author and author of the book “Photoshop-Illustrator and InDesign Collaboration & Workflow”. He is based in Belgium and works for Adobe as Head of Solutions Consulting and Tech Evangelism where his team of product experts help customers reach their business objectives using Adobe’s digital media solutions.

        Steve Caplin

        Steve Caplin is a freelance photomontage artist based in London. His work has appeared in every national UK newspaper, as well as magazines around the world including Businessweek, Men’s Health, Reader’s Digest and many more.

        He is the author of the best-selling How to Cheat in Photoshop, as well as 100% Photoshop, Art & Design in Photoshop and 3D Photoshop. He writes regularly for CreativePro and is a trainer at Lynda.com. His YouTube channel 2 Minute Photoshop is a growing collection of handy Photoshop tips, each just two minutes long.

          Laurie Ruhlin

          Laurie is an Adobe Certified Instructor in InDesign and Illustrator and an active user of many of the Creative Cloud programs in her graphic design business. She provides classroom and custom training both live and online as a consultant. This will be her seventh CreativePro Week as a speaker.

          In addition to her teaching and speaking, she is a graphic designer, developing brochures, catalogs, newsletters, logos and interactive documents for a wide variety of clients. She is the author of a course for Ajar Productions – Creating your First Interactive Document with InDesign and in5. She is a writer for InDesign Magazine and has several videos on the InDesign Secrets YouTube channel. From her diverse graphic design and consulting work, Laurie brings a wide variety of real-world knowledge into the classroom.

          Ken Jones

          Ken Jones is a publishing software expert with over ten years experience as Technical Production Manager, software trainer and developer at Penguin Group UK. Now specialising in writing workflow applications and offering training and consultancy for publishers on print and digital workflows. Ken’s company ‘Circular Software’ provides software tools and services for a range of illustrated book publishing customers including Hachette, Pan Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Thames & Hudson and The Quarto Group.
