CreativePro Week and Coronavirus: Update
/in News /by David BlatnerWe are writing today to keep you up to date on our planning for CreativePro Week 2020, considering the news and health guidelines have been changing rapidly.
Our event is in June — two and a half months away — and a lot can happen in that time. We are staying optimistic, but at the same time facing the reality that we may have to make some changes to the format of the event. In early April, we’ll have a much better sense for what those changes will be, and we’ll continue to share our updates as the coming weeks unfold.
We hope you will be patient with us as we work out the best course forward to ensure we can provide you with valuable education, information, and connection with some of the world’s experts.
We are so happy to have you as a part of the CreativePro community, and we appreciate you “hanging in there” with us during this challenging time. Our goal is to help you and your company thrive — not just today, but into the future.
Of course, if your employer or doctor issues you a directive forbidding travel, we understand. Registration options include:
- Converting your live pass to a Virtual Pass (full video and audio recordings for all sessions after the event, plus speaker handouts and attendee forums)
- Transferring your registration to someone else at no extra cost, up until the day of the event.
- Postponing your registration to CreativePro Week 2021 (city and date to be announced in June)
Please feel free to reach out to us at any time if you have questions, on our contact page, at events@creativepro.com, or by calling Marci at (206) 935-6135.
We hope you and your family stay safe and healthy.

Creative Pros: You’re 3 minutes away from working smarter
/in News /by Brad MillerThree Minutes Max is a fun—and competitive—session at our annual CreativePro Week conference. Here’s how it works: speakers have three minutes to wow the audience with their best Photoshop, PowerPoint, InDesign, or Illustrator power moves, and attendees vote on which expert’s tip is the best.
Below you’ll find just a few of our expert tips from previous conferences. Subscribe to our CreativePro YouTube Channel for more quick, savvy solutions.
Style an InDesign Page Quickly ft. Laurie Ruhlin
In this quick InDesign tip, Laurie Ruhlin shows how to quickly style an entire page full of text. Using paragraph styles—incorporating the “next style” feature—as well as object styles, she formats her page with just a couple of clicks.
Fill Image to Fit PowerPoint Slide ft. Nolan Haims
In this quick PowerPoint tip, Nolan Haims demos how he fills an image to fit a slide, without going out to Photoshop. This tip comes in handy, especially when converting a presentation with a 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9.
Quick Photoshop Composite Trick ft. Jesús Ramirez
Jesús Ramirez has a little Photoshop fun to show off a trick for a quick face swap! If you’ve ever wanted to put your face on someone else’s body—or a less creepy image manipulation—this trick could certainly come in handy.
Illustrator Color Palette from a Photo ft. Nigel French
Nigel French demonstrates how to make a color palette from a photo in Illustrator. Where many color theme creators only create a five-color palette, Nigel’s method lets you choose as many colors as you want.
